1. The Olympics are here – hip-hip-horray! We moved our TV to the living room for a little while, just for this very special event. I am feeling a little bad for Bob Costas and his eye (and for those of us who have to look at it), but otherwise the Olympic spirit is alive and well!
2. Also over the next two weeks, we have two good friends visiting from out of town. We really are lucky ducks.
4. I am very, very thankful that we have been healthy so far this year. It’s easy to take our health for granted, but after last fall – between the severe back pain and the respiratory-infection-from-the-underworld that required 3 weeks straight of Nyquil – I remember almost every morning what a blessing it is to be able to be healthy and pain-free.
5. What would a Friday Five be without a comment about the weather? I’ll just say two things: 1) We are very fortunate that we never lost power (almost all my colleagues did), and 2) You know it’s been a rough winter when you look at the current weather on your phone in the morning and think “Oh, nice! It’s already 24 degrees!”
