Garden Update – transplanted May 12, 2009

A week or so ago we spent a long afternoon transplanting vegetable seedlings from the flat outside our door to our garden plot.  Here’s plot one:

And here’s plot two:

Featuring heirloom tomatoes (mostly old germans, on the left), banana peppers (towards the back, on the right), and basil (in the far back, barely visible)

The first few days after the transplanting were touch and go, but it looks like most everything will make it. We’ll keep you posted on the progress.

    5/15 update…the gophers have found the tomato plot (but thus far the cages have been successful in keeping them away from the plants). May be time to set some traps, says C.
